Pit Master Josh Freda born and raised in Central Massachusetts comes to the Davis Family with 25 years of Food and Beverage experience. He Began training in 2016 as our BBQ Pit Master with Kansas City’s Best Pit Master Stephen “Smokey” Schwartz and Executive Chef Paully Clinton.
Smokey competes in many cooking and BBQ competitions. He is the only chef to have won Three Grand Champion titles in Chicago at the Food Arts Magazine/ Share Our Strength National Championships — taking home first place in 2006, 2012, and 2015. Smokey has also taken first place at the American Royal Barbecue Championships in 2012 and 2015.
Chef Paully Clinton has over 30 years of experience, he is well known all over the country – whether at his award-winning restaurants, special events, BBQ competitions, cooking alongside Wolf Gang Puck, James Beard House Chef or preparing tasty delights to Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton.
Pit Master Josh has been teasing our guests with his mouthwatering, crave-worth BBQ and signature delights at 8 satellite locations at Davis Farmland and Davis Mega Farm Festival and looks forward to creating smokin’ hot BBQ at the new Davis BBQ year-round restaurant.
